When developing the first Porsche Macan, Porsche didn’t set out to build an entry-level SUV that would be better than the the competitors. It set out to build the perfect Porsche in a small SUV format. It aimed to build into a small utility vehicle all of the characteristics that make a Porsche, a Porsche.
The net result is a vehicle that stands alone in its segment. You can tangibly compare it to its rivals and discover that its cargo area is on par with other German compact utility vehicles or that its entry-level model is priced competitively, but Porsche Macan owners will tell you that it’s about so much more than specs.

Driving dynamics

The Macan S gets a 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 with 355 horsepower, more than most competitors’ top-trim engine. Then there’s the Macan GTS, a unique model in this segment that provides sports-car handling and sound with a 375-horsepower engine that will get you to 100 km/h in under 5.0 seconds.
Lastly, the Porsche Macan Turbo is the fastest, most aggressive compact SUV you can buy today. Featuring 434 horsepower, it’s faster than anything currently available in this segment.
In other words, there isn’t a compact SUV out there than can match the Macan’s engine lineup and ability to meet so many diverse needs.
