July 2022 - Porsche once again tops the J.D. APEAL study
July 2022
Porsche once again stood out among luxury brands in the recent 2022 J.D. APEAL study, a study that Porsche is used to winning, having finished first overall in 2020 and 2021. The J.D. APEAL (Automotive Performance, Execution, and Layout) study aims to rank vehicles by their emotional appeal and the excitement that they provide their owners. It is a complement to the J.D. Power Initial Quality Study which was also released this month.
The J.D. Power APEAL study asks new owners to rate 37 attributes including the feeling they get when they accelerate with the vehicle, or how they feel when they get in for the first time. The questions are focused on how you feel behind the wheel, the pleasure you get from a particular vehicle, and how emotionally attaching a model is. This year's 2022 J.D. Power study included over 84,000 owners who have purchased a 2022 vehicle in the last 90 days. The responses are scored on a 1,000-point scale which is then used to rank every vehicle.
Porsche scored 888 out of 1,000, good for first among all luxury brands. It was also a significant improvement over last year meaning that the appeal of Porsche vehicles to their owners has increased year-over-year.
The results of this study aren't surprising. Porsche vehicles are designed to exceed expectations in every way, and to create a definite emotional response between vehicle and driver. Discover new Porsche vehicles today at Porsche Centre Calgary.
